- As the National demonstration zone, during the planning and designation phase of the Yichang fine Chemicals Industrial Park project, integrated utilization was given full consideration. The Yichang Park concept takes advantage of the relationships between different products in order to maintain reasonable arrangements upon both industry and production by recognizing that every product’s by-product can be utilized as the raw materials for downstream products. Meaning, all raw materials transported in will ultimately be utilized or transformed in to a useful by-product after circulating through the flow- production process inside the park. This concept has earned the nickname of “Magic Loop. The following lists many examples of the relationships within the “Magic Loop : Caustic soda, the flagship product produced by Xingrui Chemicals is never transported to external companies but only by pipeline within the park to Taisheng Chemicals for producing Glyphosate and Chulin Chemicals for producing specialty phosphates. A by-product of Chlorine can be utilized in the production of Phosphorus trichloride and Glycine -- Phosphorus trichloride and Glycine can be used as a raw material in Glyphosate production. Two by-products of Chlorine and Hydrogen production will produce Hydrogen chloride -- Hydrogen chloride can be processed into Chloromethane together with by-product of Glyphosate production, they can be utilized as the raw materials for Organosilicon. Evaporated brine waste turns in to Sodium chloride and Gyphosate solution. A by-product of Glyphosate production, Sodium chloride can be used in the Ionic membrane in caustic soda production. Gyphosate solution is sold “as is”. Hydrochloric acid, one of the by-products of Organosilicon production, can be resolved into Hydrogen chloride in the production of Chloromethane, while Chloromethane is utilized in the process of producing Organosilicon. Yichang Park’s “Magic Loop” made itself the model of the domestic chemical industry by maximizing the benefits of the integrated recycle-economy loop. - Brief Introduction to the Industrial Park Yichang Fine Chemicals Industrial Park (Xingfa Group) is located in Xiaoting Development Zone with a total area of 4,000 acres and over 4,000 employees. It has the Technical Innovation Center and 13 member enterprises. Established in 2004, adhering by the principles of “To produce high end product, to build pollution-free industry, to make diversified investment”, the park has established plants which have 130,000 tons/year’s production capacities in Glyphosate, 100,000 tons/year’s production capacities Glycine, 160,000 tons/year’s production capacities in Organosilicon Monomer and 100,000 tons/year’s production capacities in related down-stream products. Besides, it has plants which have 30,000 tons/year’s production capacities in Special Phosphoric Acid, 30,000 tons/year’s production capacities in Phosphoric Acid (Electrical Grade), 10,000 tons/year’s production capacities in sulfuric acid (Electrical Grade), 20,000 tons/year’s production capacities in Mixed chemical products (Electrical Grade), 330,000 tons/year’s production capacities in Caustic Soda and 30,000 tons/year’s production capacities in related down-stream products In addition it has completed construction of self-owned power plant, water plant, dangerous chemicals terminal and other necessary environmental protection devices. In recent years, supported by the scientific innovations, the park has been propelling new technique revolution and has completed the transition of industry structures. Instead of the single phosphate products, silicon products have joined into the products categories. Besides, not only industrial grade products, XINGFA have the capability to produce food grade, medical grade, electronic grade too. The production of electric grade phosphoric acid has effectively eliminated technology lock-in from advanced countries, been representing the highest level in all Asia. The technique of producing phosphorus based flame retardant-THPO is the first time in the world. The production technology of organosilicone has ranked in the TOP 5 in China. Moreover, the production technology of glyphosate owns leading overall technical strength in the same industry. Its production capacity has ranked No. 2 in the world, only after Monsanto Co. With registered capital of 0.21billion RMB, the main products are glycine and calcium chloride. Yichang Chulin Chemicals Co., Ltd. With registered capital of 6 million RMB, the main product is food grade phosphate Hubei Xingfu Electronic Parts & Materials Co., Ltd With registered capital of 1,380 million RMB, the main product is Electronic grade chemical Yichang Gulaobei Port Co., Ltd. With registered capital of 566.5 million RMB, the main business are storage logistics. Hubei Xingfa Phosphorus Chemical Industry Research Co., Ltd. With registered capital of 852 million RMB, the main businesses are products research, quality test and consulting services. Hubei Xingshun Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. With registered capital of 5 million RMB, the main business is general affairs management of the Park.
